TV's Turning On

TV'S TURNING THEMSELVES ON

The large screen television in this room had no history of turning on by itself. It was brought from California and sat normal the first few months it was in the Grand Midway Hotel. One morning a book arrived in the mail about ghost research, called gHost by Katherine Ramsland. I read the first half of this book alone in this room through the night. About 6 AM, right before him while still reading, this large screen television just turned itself on. It lit up the room with it's blue glow! The sound of white noise filled the air. It was startling.

The next morning, while I sat right there in the silent dark room finishing the second half of the ghost research book, at 6 AM the television again turned itself on again! The room blast with blue light and white noise. It was creepy. It felt like the building was confirming, "Yes, you have stepped into the Twilight Zone."

About a week later, while I was out of state, Damien opened this room's door to borrow some kerosene. It was night. At that exact moment he entered the projection screen television flipped itself on in front of him setting the room aglow and loud with white noise! This was about the same time Damien and I started comparing stories and questioning if something unsual was going on here at the hotel, soit startled him as well. Both of us were experiencing similar unnerving moments.

After that, for about two years the television turning itself on happened so often, and only at seemingly key times, that others in the hotel just got used to it. In some ways the energy associated with this happening seemed more associated with the Ramsland ghost book than the hotel itself as there was a spirit in her book that followed her around, and she eventually did visit the Grand Midway Hotel a few times.

Anyway, it only happens once in a great while now. You hear the sound -loud white noise turning itself on- and then as you approach the room you see the blue light shining out from within. It's ghostish...
