GEORGE'S BEAUTY STATUE Local artist George Turner moved into the hotel one season to work on a project in an escape hide-out away from his home. He carved this entire three foot tall beautiful statue out of wax, to challenge himself, using only a knife and a spoon. He stayed on the third floor in Room # 25. All of the progress was recorded in the feature film Coolsville To our horror, caught on camera as well, George lost the statue in that the mold didn't take when he poured the metals. He went back and re-carved the entire statue all over again. One year later she was completed. Her back is a violin. ![]() |
